Refund Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

Summary

All payments made on Side.work are final. We review a refund only in the three situations listed below. Cancelling stops future renewals, but it does not return money for a period that has already started. You can cancel at any time, and your access continues to the end of the period you paid for.

What you are paying for

A Side.work plan is a subscription that gives access to the Service for a period, monthly or yearly. Access starts when payment is made and applies for the whole period whether or not you use it. The features and limits of each plan are shown on the pricing page and again at checkout, before you pay.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you agree at checkout to immediate performance of the Service. Once you have agreed and the Service has started, your statutory right of withdrawal ends, as the law allows.

When we do review a refund

We refund only where one of these applies and the claim can be shown from our records and those of our payment processor. A refund is limited to the amount charged for the affected period.

Duplicate charge

You were billed more than once for the same period because of an error in our billing.

Proven unauthorized charge

Someone used your payment method without your permission, you report it promptly, and the records support your claim. We may ask you to confirm that you have also reported it to your card issuer.

Total service failure

The Service was completely unavailable to you for a continuous period because of a confirmed fault on our side, you told us at the time, and we could not fix it. Slow performance, partial issues and problems with your own device, network or browser do not qualify.

What is not refunded

  • Changing your mind or no longer needing the Service.
  • Not using the Service during a paid period.
  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal date. The renewal date is shown in your account.
  • Choosing the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats. Upgrades charge the difference immediately, and moves to a lower plan do not return money already paid.
  • Not finding a suitable specialist or company, or a different result from what you expected. Matching depends on who is available.
  • Unused introductions, applications or roles in a period.

Cancelling and renewals

You can cancel in your account settings at any time. Cancelling stops all future renewals. You keep access until the end of the paid period, and the remaining time is not pro-rated or refunded. If a renewal has already been charged, cancelling afterwards stops the next renewal but does not reverse the charge for the current period.

If a payment fails, your payment processor may retry it over the following days. Those retries relate to a period that has already begun, so cancelling does not cancel an amount already due.

Payments for specialist work

An invoice for specialist work covers hours that the company has approved in weekly timesheets, plus the platform fee. Approval is the company confirmation that the work was done as agreed. Once hours are approved, that payment is a settlement between the company and the specialist and is final. Disagreements about hours should be raised before approval, directly with the specialist, and the contract between the company and the specialist governs any other remedy.

How to request a review

Email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge from the address on your account. Include the date and amount of the charge, the plan, and a short description of what happened. We review requests in the order received and tell you the result by email. Requests sent after 30 days, or that do not fit the situations above, are not granted.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before you ask your bank to reverse a payment. If a chargeback is opened, we send the records described below to your bank or card issuer, and we may suspend the account while it is reviewed. Records we may provide include the purchase date, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of our terms, confirmation emails, and account activity. Our payment processor keeps its own transaction records, which we can also use.
